About Natraj Mandir, Satara
Shri Uttara Chidambaram Natraja Mandir located in Satara or popularly known as the Nataraj Mandir is an imitation of Chidambaram Temple in Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu. Located off the National Highway 4, the temple is dedicated to Nataraj, the portrayal of Lord Shiva performing Tandava Dance. The temple was built at the confluence of River Krishna and Venna back in 1985, and since then it has been teeming with devotees from all over India. Apart from the chief place of worship devoted to Lord Shiva, there are shrines of Ganesha, Krishna and Radha, Linga and Hanuman. The temple of Nine Planets, Lord Ayyapa and Swami Aadya Shankaracharya are also nestled in the Nataraja Mandir.
Timings: 7 AM - 12 Noon, 3 PM. - 8.30 PM. Timings are changed during festivals
