About Kaas Lake
Kaas Lake is an artificial lake carved in 1875, just located on the lower southern part of the Kaas Plateau. It almost 1160 meters above the sea level and is enclosed with the opaque forests of Sahayadri Mountains. The Kaas Lake is not as much packed with tourists as the Kaas Plateau, so one can enjoy calm, uninterrupted evenings by the lake. The best time to visit Kaas Lake can be anytime from June to January unlike the Plateau area which is at its best during September to October due to the flowering season. Also there are several campsites organized near the lake area throughout the year.
