About Champaran
Champaran has both a religious and historical significance. The place is situated at a distance of 80 kms from Raipur. The historical significance attached to the village is that it is the birthplace of the famous Saint Vallabhacharya. He was the pioneer and founder of Vallabh Sect. An exquisite temple dedicated to Saint Vallabhacharya has been built to pay tribute to him. Devotees swarm the temple on the 11 day of baisakh to celebrate the birth centenary Saint Vallabhacharya is celebrated every year.
