About VUDA Park
Taraka Rama Park, generally known as VUDA Park, is an ideal place for all to spend evenings and leisure times on seashore with eye catching and eco-rich surroundings. It was named after former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri N T Rama Rao. The Park is developed by Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) near the Rama Krishna Beach in Visakhapatnam. It is on the beachfront in an area of 55 acres.
The Park is well equipped with a variety of children play pens, boating club, musical fountains, a multi Gym, Yoga Center, Kala Vedika, Pagodas and many more. The MGM Dizzee theme world - another attraction in the park -is open on weekdays and its timings are from 10:30am to 6:00pm The Roller Skating Rink is also one of the highlighted features of this Park. The Entrance Plaza extends makes the visitors to have memorable moments of joy. Every day thousands of people visit the VUDA Park.
The Musical Fountain show is played daily at 6:30 PM and has an entrance ticket of a mere Rs. 5/- with which you can stay for unlimited time. The Vaisakhi Open Air Auditorium is the place where musical concerts are held. Musical classes in Classical Telugu are often organized here by Vaisakha Kala Vedika Trust. The park has been damaged after the 2014 cyclone and has not been maintained properly since. However, VUDA is currently upgrading the park with the new Yoga center and an Entrance plaza.
It can be reached by bus running form RTC Complex and is 5 KMs from Railways Station and 3 KMs from the Business district.
