About Edakkal Caves
Edakkal Caves combine a trek with viewing a historical point. Three ancient caves rest at a point above one thousand meters. There are stone age pictographs on the walls and the caves are a point of research for archaeologists. These engravings of the neolithic man are more than 8000 years old.
The caves can be trekked to from Eddakal. After 5pm, the caves are closed to visitors.
