About Daroji Bear Sanctuary
Daroji Bear Sanctuary was specifically created to preserve the Indian Sloth Bear. Located in the Bellary district in Karnataka, it is only 16km from Hampi on the road opposite to Hospet road. The sanctuary has a rocky terrain and there are many fruit orchards, fruits which are well liked by Sloth Bears like, mangoes, custard apples, etc.
Tourists are not allowed to roam in the sanctuary but are allowed on an Observation Deck from where they can watch the bears lazing around with their cubs. There are other animals like boars, leopards, jackals, etc. which can be seen from the deck.
Visiting hours: 6:00AM to 6:00PM, all seven days.
