About Lakshmi Narasimha Temple
Lakshmi Narasimha Temple houses a huge statue of Lord Narashima sitting in Yogic posture. Statue of Goddess Lakshmi sitting on the lap of Narashima Statue was gone missing during a battle in Vijayanagar Empire. A great colonnaded bazaar street with a ceremonial tank is located near the deserted temple. Closer to the southern end, are monolithic sculptures of a lingam and of Lakshmi-Narasimha, which is as high as 7 meters. It is the largest at the site. The temple is added to the world heritage sites.
