About Manas National Park
Manas National Park or Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is named after Manas river, one of the major tributaries of Brahmaputra and it passes through the center of this park. The park is contiguous with the Royal Manas National park in the neighbouring state of Bhutan. Elephant rides, jungle safari, birdwatching, rare and endangered wildlife, the park offers all of this and more. It was declared UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985. Manas National Park is famous for Wild water buffalo found here.
