About Karaikudi
- Karaikudi is the biggest city in the Sivaganga district is famous for the 75 villages that form the entire homeland of the Nattukottai Chettiyars. Karaikudi which is the ancestral houses of the Chettiyars is the main attraction of this place. The most famous is the Aayiram jannal veedu which is a mansion with 1000 windows. Pillayarpatti Kovil, a Hindu temple since last 1600 years along with some other temples attracts many. Do relish the Chettinad cuisine of this place and simply enjoy the flavors from the Chettiyar’s kitchen.
