About Ganj Golai

Ganj Golai is a circular shaped structure in heart of Latur city, designed by Sri Faiyajuddin. Built in 1917, this two storied sphere is connected to the city by 16 roads. These 16 roads are of great importance for the trade and commerce of Latur. Each lane is dedicated to a certain nature of business like jewelry, spices, footwear and food items. Inside the center rests the Temple of Goddess Jagadamba, with 8 feet tall statue was placed in 1989. Every year in the Temple of Goddess, Navratri is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion.
