About Soami Bagh
Also known as Dayal Bagh, Soami Bagh is located on the outskirts of Agra and was constructed as the mausoleum of Huzur Soamiji Maharaj (Shri Shiv Dayal Singh), who was the initiator of the Radhasoami Faith. Its historical significance lies in the monument being constructed by Maharaj Saomiji himself to perform his spiritual practices and the structure infuses elements from different religions and is a combination of a temple, church, vihara and mosque.
The Dayal Bagh complex also houses the Dayal Bagh Temple, built around 1861. It is now a self-sustained community and satsang is still held once daily. Bhandara festivals are held here several times every year when devotees flock to the place to give their prayers.
