Situated in Haryana, Faridabad is part of NCR (National Capital Region) and shares border with Delhi and Gurgaon. Faridabad is the largest City in Haryana and a booming industrial hub of the state. Faridabad alone generates about 60% of the revenues of Haryana. It is said that Baba Farid, an eminent Sufi saint in the Mogul era, who founded Faridabad.
Faridabad has many tourist attractions such as Baba Farid's Tomb, Badhkal Lake and Raja Nahar Singh Palace. Famous Suraj Kund Mela - a cultural & crafts fair is held in the city in the month of February every year. Faridabad is about 25 kms. from Delhi.
