About Sitakund
Sita Kund is a holy hot water spring which is situated near a temple where sita (wife of the Lord Rama), the main character from Ramayana (Hindu epic) had borne to life. It was constructed by Birbal Das and over there commenced the worship of Godess Sita. This place is situated in the northern border of Bihar in a place called Sitamarhi. When compared to the rest of Bihar this place is the most beautiful and peaceful one to visit as well as live. Enjoy the experience of being in a holy place. Places on must visit when you are here are – the waterfall, temple and the hot water spring. The best time to visit this place is during Navratri and the entry timings are 6 am to 8pm on all day’s .this religious place offers one with an added opportunity to trek and have fun alongside this. The Forest dept. has a guest house facility in Sitamarhi; it has minimum facilities with only vegetarian food options available there. Enjoy the experience of being in a holy place like this.
