About Kondaveedu Fort
Kondaveedu Fort is at a distance of 25 Kms from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was constructed by Anapotha Reddy in 1250 AD. It is located on a hilltop. It has 21 stupas which are partially in ruins but will still interest the history enthusiasts. The winged entrance gate ways are another sight to behold. There are temples and pillared halls inside the fort which attract many tourists. Trikoteshwara Swamy temple, Gopinatha Temple and Kathulabave are some of the main attractions. The fort being located on a hill top, the view from this place is awe inspiring. Fort was recently restored. Best time to visit Kondaveedu Fort is from October to March.
