About Folk Heritage Museum
The National Folk Heritage Museum is a great informative and educational center. The Museum itself is housed in an ancient three storied, rammed mud building belonging to the 19thcentury which is the chief attraction. It is a typical example of the traditional housing styles of the people in Wang in those times. The Museum's main aim is to offer a glimpse of the everyday life of the rural people and to understand them better. The Museum showcases the domestic tools, kitchen supplements and household objects used in rural areas. Many trees that were useful to people of rural areas are now being grown here for display.
Advance booking enables one to exercise special offers like one gets to see the demonstration of the ancient method of extracting oil, roasting rice, etc. The traditional watermill that has 150 year old millstones is also put to display.
