About Talangama Wetland
Riding a few kilometres away from the bustling capital city will lead you to a place nurtured in nature’s lap, Talangama Wetland or Thalangama Lake, which is characterised for its tranquillity and serenity. It is a Paradise for photographers and bird lovers as it offers a wide range of flora and fauna and famed for sheltering umpteen number of birds. Around hundred varieties of birds can be spotted here. Water Cock, purple faced leaf monkeys, Swamphen, Cormorants are the highlights of this place. Not only local but also seasonable and migrant birds can be seen here and peak seasons are April to November.
Mornings and evenings are the ideal times for bird watching. Simmer down in this Wetland in the afternoon hours amidst the twitters of birds. Ensure that you are well packed with all essentials as there are no restaurants and shops nearby. Talangama wetland is one of the best tourist destinations and hence it is highly recommended place.
