About Dasaratha Rameshwara
Dasaratha Rameshwara is another Shiva Linga temple in the Chitradurga district, near Hosadurga. It is alternatively known as Varjra, and is supposedly sacred according to the locals due to an attached Ramayana story. It is believed that King Dasaratha killed Sant Shravana with an arrow at this site, and thus installed a linga along with Lord Rama to neutralize the forces of his karma. The temple is said to have a divine feeling attached to it, thus like any other worship place, a perfect place for meditation.
