About Tyda Jungle Bells Park
Tyda Park is an upcoming environment friendly project, which is situated about 75 km from Visakhapatnam in Araku Valley. Tyda is a nice place for camping, trekking and birdwatching. It was developed by the AP Tourism Development Corporation and the State Forests Department as an eco-tourism project for travelers and is also being developed with camping facilities at Jungle bells to provide an enchanting experience in wilderness to the tourists.
This APTDC resort is located at a distance of 58 KM and is one and half hour drive from NH 5 junction of Visakhapatnam. Facilities are available for adventure sports like spider web, tree top horizontal ladder etc.
The main attractions include rock climbing, trekking and target shooting with bow and arrows. They can also learn the language of the jungle like identification of calls, marks and understanding interesting features of various floras and fauna of Eastern Ghats with the help of naturalists or guides. Tourists can enjoy their stay in log huts and tents set in a rural environment. This is also a great spot for Birdwatchers, although the heat keeps most of the birds away during summers. Thus, the best time to visit is around October to February.
The park remains open from 9:00 am till 6:00 pm every day.
