About Tagrimo Monastery
Tagrimo Monastery lies in the plains of the Padum and is otherwise known as Kagyupa Monastery. Dating back to 17th century, some 30 monks reside here. It’s famous for their collection of age old paintings. Among these one can recognize the paintings of Nawang Namgyal founder of the Bhutanese theocracy.
