About Global Vipassana Pagoda
Global Vipassana Pagoda was established in 2009. The structure was a built out of ancient Indian and modern style and technology. The Pagoda was built to honor the Buddhism and monks preaching principles of Buddha. The place serves as a meditation hall where one can relax and indulge in spiritualism. Global Vipassana Pagoda, which is built on land sandwiched between Gorai creek and Arabian Sea, has structure which was highly inspired by Shwedagon Pagoda of Myanmar. The central dome which was largest of its kind was built without any supporting pillars.
Tourists can see the meditation hall can accommodate nearly 8000 persons. There are Library, Museum, circular path wrapping up the central dome; two tiny domes on either sides of central dome etc are included in the structure of Global Vipassana Pagoda.
