Mahabat Maqbara , Junagadh
About Mahabat Maqbara
Mahabat Maqbara (also known as Bahauddin Maqbara or Mohabbat Maqbara) is a stunning example of 19th century Mughal architecture in Junagadh. This monument is a mausoleum of the vizier (wazir or royal minister) of Junagadh. The four minarets around the tomb have an interesting corkscrew-like facade. The monument is not well-maintained for its historical and archeological value and suffers from negligence, but it should be preserved for the future generation. It may not be that clean and people may tend to crib, but real travelers will love this site, as it also enhances Indo-Islamic architecture. You have Mahabat Khan and Baha-ud-dins’ tombs contained in here.
