Masroor is 32 Kms from Kangra on Nagrota Surian link road and is famous for remarkable group of rock cut temples. The group of 15 monolithic rock cut temples are intricately carved and date back to 8th century. The main shrine houses a stone images of Ram, Laxman and Sita but the presence of the figure of Shiva at the centre gives a presumption that the temple was orignally dedicated to Shiva.
The entire temple complex is situated on a hill and provides spectacular views of the terrains beyond. Premises of the rock cut temples also boast of a rectangular water pond, which is considered auspicious by hindu devotees. Spectacular views of the snow peaked Dhauladhar range is simply mesmerizing.
