About Library of Tibetan Works and Archives
Library of Tibetan Works and Archives located in Dharmashala was founded by 14th Dalai Lama in 1970. The library houses some of the most prestigious works of Tibet. Buddhist manuscripts, archives regarding Tibet history and politics etc can be seen in this library. Nearly 600 thangkas, manuscripts and artifacts and 6000 photographs are housed in this library. There is a museum in third floor of the library building. Here the 3D wooden carved mandala can be seen.
