About Tal Chappar Wildlife Sanctuary
Tal Chhapar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Churu district of Shekhawati regeion of Rajasthan, Tal Chappar Wildlife Sanctuary is famous amongst all wild life admirers for the endangered species of antelope called Black Buck. It is also home to some rare migratory birds like the Harriers.
As the word "tal" denotes plane lands, this place has appearance very similar to savanna. A variety of edible grass known as the Mothiya also grows here. During winters migratory birds visit this bird sanctuary. The best season to observe all these avifauna is September onwards.
You can stay inside the sanctuary, in the two rest houses maintained by the forest department.
