About Anshi National Park

Anshi National Park, which is adjacent to Dandeli wildlife sanctuary, is established over 340 square kilometer area. The forest in this area is declared as Dandeli wildlife Sanctuary. In fact a part of this wildlife Sanctuary was converted into Anshi national Park. In January 2007, the National park was rewarded with the title of “Project Tiger Sanctuary”. This amazing national park is perched at an altitude of 200 m to 925 m above sea level on Western Ghats. Tourists can come across variety of Fauna and Flora here. Anshi national Park habitats are Leopard, Tiger Elephants, Indian Bison, Malabar Giant Squirrel, Deer etc. Visitors should be careful about the reptiles like King Cobra, Viper, Rat Snake, and Python etc in Anshi National Park. Anshi National Park also doesn’t disappoint the Bird Watchers as it possesses some of rare species like Golden backed Woodpecker, Great Hornbill, and Serpent Eagle etc. Thus Anshi National Park provides adventurous moments to its Visitors.
