About Ibrahim Rauza Tomb
The Ibrahim Roza Tomb in Bijapur is surrounded by beautiful garden. The tomb was built for Sultan Ibrahim Adil Shah II. As per history that this monument was the real inspiration for Shah Jahan to built Taj Mahal. There are buildings here; one in the right houses the cenotaph of Sultan Ibrahim whereas the left serves as Mosque. Well laid pavement across the lush green garden leads the tourists towards this monument. The pelmets dome, stone windows, carvings on the ceilings are all enticing even though there are worn out. There are also some secret passages underneath the basement. Tourists can access to an extent in this passage, whereas the rest of passage is inaccessible as there were gossips that the remaining part houses precious treasures of Sultan.
