Experience the glimpse of an authentic Sri Lankan traditional village with a Sri Lankan lunch followed by an exciting game drive at Minneriya National Park. This tour will make you feel the traditional lifestyle of a rural Sri Lankan village where you will be able to enjoy a nature trail with bullock cart ride, canoeing ride, chena farm visit with so many countryside attractions. You will also be able to enjoy an afternoon game drive in Minneriya or Kawdulla national park to witness the roaming elephants. Minneriya National park is known as the best place to witness the elephant gathering in Asia.

Brief Itinerary:

Day 1:

8:00am - You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Habarana where you will meet your local guide who will take you on the Hiriwadunna village tour.

10:00 am - Start your village trekking with the guide. Find the manmade reservoir, surrounded by scrub jungle and a hive or morning activity. look out for birds, butterflies, and perhaps even a crocodile as well as the villagers fishing or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake.

12:00 hrs - Arrive at a Village house and witness some Traditional cooking tips and see the Chena cultivation followed by an authentic Sri Lankan Lunch.

13:30 hrs - Hop into a boat and sail to the other side of a lake. You will be able to witness some water birds during this boat ride.

14:30 hrs - You will be taken to Minneriya National Park for an exciting game drive to witness the elephants.

15:00 hrs - Arrive at the park entrance and start your afternoon game drive. The extent of the Minneriya National Park is about 21,000 acres (8,889 hectares). Dry zone plant and animal species are common, and elephants are numerous. Unlike in other national parks, elephants can be spotted at a very close range.

18:00 hrs - On completion of the Game drive, your driver will take you to the hotel.

20:00 hrs - You will arrive at your hotel.
