About Mrigavani Wildlife Park
Situated in Chilkur in Moinabad area, Mrugavani National park or Mrigavani Wildlife Park is 25 kilometers away from the city of Hyderabad. The park is about 700 acres wide and shelters 600 species of plants like Sandalwood, Bamboo and Rosewood. It has an over 20 remarkable species of animals like Cheetah, Civet Cats, Hares, Mongooses and Porcupines. It happens to be a shelter for 600 species of birds as well as 100 species of insects. With such great variety of creatures, this wildlife park is a perfect holiday spot for nature and animal lovers. The park has a pleasant climate throughout the year, and tourists can also find cottages in the park itself for accommodation. Besides the flora and fauna, Mrigavani also provides travelers a reading room, an auditorium, a center for education and a museum. The Forest Department also manages special camps from July to February, to educate pupils about the ecosystem.
Cottages for overnight stay are available in the national park.
