About Chachai Falls
Chachai falls are located at a distance of 46 km from the main city of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. It is the 23rd highest waterfall in India and the 2nd highest in Madhya Pradesh after Bahuti Falls. It has a total height of 130 m. It is formed when River Bihad which is a tributary of River Tons descends down the Plateau of Rewa. It is also an important example of knick point caused by rejuvenation. Recently, a dam was built for the generation of electricity which has reduced the flow of the river. However, post monsoon season, the river flow is quite high and is the best time to visit. Many rest rooms for the accommodation of tourists are also present in the nearby area.
