About Surayanarayana Temple - Bangalore
In country like India, where people are much spiritualistic, one can find very few temples dedicated to Sun God. Surayanarayana Temple is one such temple located in Domlur area of Bangalore. Suryanarayana Temple was constructed in Chola architectural style. Established in 1995, Suryanarayana Temple sees enormous footfalls every day.
The deity of Sun God in Sanctum Sanctorum is of 3.25 feet and it was fetched from Badrinath. You can see small images of Kashyap and Aditi on the foot of main deity. Beside Sun God, there are small shrines dedicated to Vaishnavi, Ugra Narasimha, Goddess Saraswathi, Adi Seshasayi and Panchamuka (Five Faced) Ganesha. The main fair of the temple is Magha Masa Sudha Trithiya. The 32 foot Chariot is highly decorated and the huge number of devotees pull the car on Rathasapthami day with utmost devotion.
