About Banni Grasslands Reserve
Banni Grasslands Reserve is a protected forest and one of the last remaining habitats of Cheetah in India. It is essentially a belt of dry grassland with a thriving ecosystem on the edge of the Rann of Kutch. The grasslands are sprawled over more than 3500 sq kms and several wildlife species live here, including chinkara, blackbuck, Indian wolf, desert fox and also the Indian Wild Ass. The tourism department is developing nearby villages in the vicinity as village resorts to showcase and preserve the culture of this region.
